Qatar Plastic Products Company W.L.L. is one of the biggest downstream companies in Qatar developing and manufacturing flexible packaging using polyethylene resins.The company was established on 19 September 1998 at a project cost of QR 42 million and a shared capital of QR 27 million. QPPC started commercial production in August 2000 and was inaugurated by His Excellency Abdullah Bin Hamad Al Attiyah [the State of Qatar's Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Energy and Industry] in November 2000. Around 90% of the production is being sold to the local market while the balance is marketed in the other Gulf countries and in Europe.
