وصف الشركة Mahindra & Mahindra, a leading Indian multinational automotive brand, has launched in Qatar its Scorpio `Pik Up’ range at a function held at the showroom of Ibin Ajayan Trading Company, the local distributor, which also represents a number of prominent auto brands. The Scorpio double cab `Pik Up’, has already made a significant presence in the neighbouring Gulf markets and also in some other countries of the Middle East, Mahindra & Mahindra’s general manager (export international operations) Dinesh Choudhari said. “We are very optimistic of our ‘Pik Up’ range in Qatar given the growing market for such vehicles in many industries,” he explained, while describing Qatar as one of the important markets in the Middle East.“With their tough yet stylish looks and better fuel efficiency, our utility vehicles are ideal for both leisure and commercial use,” Choudhari said. Mahindra & Mahindra is confident of the remarkably good abilities of Ibin Ajayan Trading Group in marketing a quality brand, the official stated. “Ibin Ajayan Trading, a respected group in Qatar, has sound knowledge of business practices and professional expertise which would contribute to the success of Mahindra vehicles in the country.” The local company’s workshop and service centre would provide excellent maintenance support to Mahindra vehicles, he added. Ibin Ajayan Trading Group deputy general managing director Ayman Farouk, said: “Mahindra is a globally respected brand and their vehicles have developed a reputation for their ‘go anywhere’ capability and strong value proposition. “Ibin Ajayan Group is honoured to extend its relationship with Mahindra & Mahindra and extremely happy to represent the vehicle manufacturer as their distributor in Qatar,” he said. Earlier, an audio-visual presentation on Mahindras and their automotive manufacturing, R&D facilities in India, Turin and Detroit was made. Indian embassy first secretary Dinesh Udenia was also present at the launch. Mahindra, established as Mahindra and Mohamed in 1945, became Mahindra & Mahindra three years later and now it is a $16bn multinational group, headquartered in Mumbai. The group which has stakes in a number of diversified businesses employs more than 200,000 people in over 100 countries.
