AECOM has had a strong presence in Qatar since 1984 and is one of the country’s largest consultancy firms. Qatar is a country with ambitious plans building infrastructure and spectacular skylines in preparation for hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar. AECOM is supporting these plans via several rail and road projects as well as two venues that will be used during the tournament. We started this business in 1992; We believed there was a better way for companies to deliver successful construction and engineering projects. Our water resources policy and strategy work provides practical recommendations for a sustainable supply of water for generations to come. Our vision for the future’s also rooted in cultural understanding. On the Hamad Medical Corporation masterplan, we’ve provided additional levels of separation and privacy in waiting areas, and ample space for families in patient rooms. From buildings, to infrastructure, to water, we design with community in mind. We are combining design with capacity-building work to generate the human capital Qatar needs for the years to come.
