وصف الشركة Patton Boggs has been active in Qatar since 1993 and became the first U.S. law firm licensed to practice in the country in 2003 when H.H. the Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, invited Patton Boggs to open an office in Doha. Patton Boggs was granted a license by special resolution of the Ministry of Justice which allowed it to establish an office outside of the Qatar Financial Center and also allowed it to advise clients on Qatari law. With lawyers fluent in Arabic and English, who have extensive regional experience and proficiency in Qatar, English and U.S. law, we are well placed to advise local businesses on domestic issues, and to handle complex and challenging international transactions. Our lawyers serve as legal advisors to governments, government-controlled entities and international businesses throughout the Middle East and worldwide. Our Doha office works closely with the firm's other U.S. and international offices to provide full service legal representation in a number of practice areas, including: business law, corporate finance, government contracts, international trade and transactions, construction, litigation and arbitration, oil and gas, project finance, real estate, tax and telecommunications, to name just a few.
