StrongBox Qatar is the, bricks and mortar, fitness facility from Fitness Qatar (www.fitnessqatar.com, www.bootcampqatar.com) Qatar’s leaders in cutting edge functional fitness training.
There are two StrongBox locations in Qatar at the moment one in Al Waab which was the original and home to Qatar’s first CrossFit gym open to the general public CrossFit Quwwa. Our newest location is located in West Bay in the Al Jazi Gardens compound and offers us huge scope to develop. We will shortly be opening our third facility on The Pearl Qatar.
StrongBox training is centred around our functional fitness training methodology. At StrongBox we only offer classes, these are led by certified and experienced trainers.
Our classes cutting edge, fun, progressive and effective and working together in groups motivates our members to greater intensity and also develops a social community like nothing you will have experienced before.

Created and established in 2010 as Just Gym.
The vision of Sheik Mohammad Bin Thamer Al-Thani, managing director, was to create a gym in which to develop and pioneer the fitness industry in Doha, driving the ethos of health and fitness forward.
In 2012 the concept of Just Gym grew further and developed into Just Be Active (JBA), becoming the home of 24 hours fitness.
Running further, in 2013, JBA became a part of Qatar International Sports Services (QISS) a leader in sports management and operations, launching now as Qgym, with the vision to be the complete fitness complex, comprised of over 24,000 square meters, which facilitates a colossus gym, mammoth Olympic swimming pool, and a mixed martial arts academy (MMA).
Qgym is the largest gym and fitness facility in Doha and in the GCC. Qgym is also home to over 300 resistance machines and fitness equipment, housing the largest amount of fitness related equipment within any facility in Qatar with an extensive variety to suit the desired needs of all.

The Grand Opening was officially unveiled last April 7 - 9, 2011 and the 3-Day Spectacle was witnessed by thousands from all over Qatar. The 22,000 sq. metre park had a series of soft openings for a full year, as only some of the attractions were in place. The residents of Qatar have been able to use each section as it became available. Gondolania is now fully operational. All rides and games are now ready to bring joy to people of all ages.
The impressive roller coaster’s unique sound and light show was unveiled, which is synchronized with the ride. A sequence of different sound and light shows will take place during the three-minute ride, creating a spectacular ambience throughout the park. This is the first time in the region a show of this calibre has ever been attempted by any theme park.
Gondolania is named after the Venetian Boat (Gondola) theme of Villaggio Mall watercanal. The indoor park features a great variety of rides and attractions including a spinning roller coaster that takes riders almost to the ceiling before plunging 19-metres underground. Another major attraction is the only 4D cinema in the country offering a truly realistic cinematic experience, with seats that are operated on an air-driven servo motion and special effects that includes front air blasts, front water spray, neck and leg ticklers and vibrating seats. A Bowling Alley, Go-kart circuit, a Drop Tower, Bumper Cars, Carousel, Ferris Wheel, Kiddie Train and party rooms are also part of the entertainment available at the amusement park.
