The year 2004 was a very significant year for Doha – a year of great development and growth, a year that witnessed a deluge of expatriate Indians. Doha was to host the 2006 Asian Games. The need for quality education, inculcating Indian values and ethics was evident. This gave birth to a great educational venture – Birla Public School – the brainchild of a group of eminent and long-time expatriates in Doha.
