Batteel Bakery is a well known name in Qatar with a wide variety of cakes and pastries. Batteel Bakery specializes in children’s birthday cakes and cakes for special occasions such as graduations and wedding anniversaries. Julien Holder married Suzanne, the granddaughter of Charlemagne Mayot. The Holders opened their own bakery in Lille, in 1935. The Holders and their son Francis took over a better known bakery-pâtisserie owned by the Paul family, and kept the "Paul" name.
Following the death of his father in 1958, Francis Holder took over the family bakery in Lille. With his mother's assistance he expanded the business and when the Nouvelles Galeries opened in 1965, he immediately offered to supply their bread. Under the “Moulin Bleu” Francis Holder provided bread to Auchan and Monoprix from his bakery in Lambersart, and by 1970 he was able to purchase an abandoned industrial site at La Madeleine, in the suburbs of Lille, transforming it into an enormous bakery.
The installation in 1972 of a wood stove at the original Lille bakery proved so popular that, as the Paul chain expanded into French malls in Paris and other major French cities, it was incorporated into the general layout. Apart from a change of livery in 1993 (to the now-signature black), the layout and visual aesthetic of Paul stores has not changed.

In 1996, Magnolia Bakery opened its first location on a quiet street corner in the heart of New York City’s West Village. From its inception, Magnolia Bakery has been cherished for its classic American baked goods, vintage decor and warm, inviting atmosphere.
In 2007, Magnolia Bakery’s original owner passed her oven mitts to Steve and Tyra Abrams. Founded by Mr. Gaston Lenôtre one of the best Pastry Cooks in France during his time.Born on 1920 in Normandy, Gaston Lenôtre quickly showed a true passion for patisserie.•In the year 1947, he opened his store in Normandy. In 1957 along with his wife Colette, he first bought a store in Paris at 44 rue d’Auteuil. It was an immediate success! His exceptionally high productivity was the talent that led him to open a catering department in 1964, and soon he was the artist behind the most lavish celebrations. In 1971, l’Ecole Lenôtre opened up in Plaisir, close to Paris in les Yvelines. Professionals around-the-world over flocked to learn the secrets of this famous pastry chef.
The first international venture was in Berlin in 1975, in Japan, the Middle East, Korea, Las Vegas, and Bangkok to follow. Peking will soon be added to these lists. With Le Pré Catelan in 1976, Le Pavillon Elysée Lenôtre in 1985, Le Panoramique du Stade de France in 1998, and three more thoroughbred venues were successfully added to the stable of Lenôtre – run establishments.
In 1998 Lenôtre Kuwait was inaugurated as an extensive building surrounded by the sea. It is the first cafe created in the Middle East along with its boutique, restaurant and phenomenal catering facilities. This has soon expanded into 5 different prestigious locations in Kuwait covering all the area.
Gaston Lenôtre has imparted the incredible energy that shaped his career to the companies that now bears his name. His values of rigor in the workplace and passing on knowledge are still shared by the 1,400 employees, and are propagated by the training and apprenticeship policy whose main vehicle is L’Ecole Lenôtre, founded in 1971.

Hadan restaurant opened its doors to customers on 11 June 2015 at Al Wakra Souq. It took more than six months from the day the owner of the restaurant. Dr. Saif S. Alsowaidi was allocated the premises of a rebuilt old Qatari house as part of the heritage site of Al Wakra Souq, to the date of opening. Dr. Saif invested in almost rebuilding the house interior to make it as much as possible into a restaurant. Though it was not an easy task to meet what official government entities require and what customers would expect from a quality service and nicely developed dining environment, commitment and hard work have made it possible to create a lovely place with modern finishing, furniture, facilities and pleasant atmosphere.

The Tim Hortons chain was founded in 1964 in Hamilton, Ontario. The chain's focus on top quality, always fresh product, value, great service and community leadership has allowed it to grow into the largest quick service restaurant chain in Canada specializing in always fresh coffee, baked goods and homestyle lunches.
The first Tim Hortons restaurants offered only two products - coffee and donuts. The selection of donuts to enjoy was highlighted by two original Tim Hortons creations, the Apple Fritter and the Dutchie. They became the most popular donut choices in the 60's, and remain two of the most popular today.
But as consumer tastes grew, so did the choices at Tim Hortons. The biggest change in the chain's product focus took place in 1976 with the introduction of the phenomenally successful Timbit (bite-sized donut hole), today available in over 35 different varieties. The chain's growth into the 1980's brought about a whole series of new product introductions: muffins (1981), cakes (1981), pies (1982), croissants (1983), cookies (1984), and soups & chili (1985). Sandwiches, which were originally introduced in 1993, were re-introduced as a new and improved line-up of 6 varieties, called "Tim's Own", in 1998. Also, in the 1990's, bagels (1996), flavored cappuccino (1997), Café Mocha (1999) and Iced Cappuccino (1999) were introduced. In 2003, the Turkey Bacon Club sandwich and Maple Pecan Danish were successful menu additions. In 2005 Tim Hortons introduced, Yogurt & Berries, Cinnamon Roll and Hot Smoothee to the menu. Many new great products were added to the menu in 2006 such as the Chicken Salad Wrap and the hot Breakfast Sandwich (eggs, sausage or bacon, processed cheese on a toasted homestyle biscuit).
