To diversify its investments and to provide a qualitative addition to the country’s economy, Ezdan Holding Group decided to make a strong entry into the markets and malls segment through the Ezdan Mall Gharafa opened in April 2013. The Mall, developed by the Ezdan Mall Company, is well-aligned to the Group’s goals and strategy. Located in a very strategic geographic and commercial hotspot in the Gharafa area, the Mall is surrounded by other shopping centers, a hypermarket and several vital facilities that attract at least 50,000 visitors every day.
Ezdan Mall has been able to prove itself as a serious contender in the local shopping mall industry. This achievement, set in a record time, is due to several factors.
Located close to other well established shopping centers, we have emphasized on introducing as many new brands as possible, which was a huge challenge for us. But, we were able to achieve around 70 first-timers in Qatar out of a total of 140 stores. Qatar’s residents are now able to shop at some of the most sought after mid and mid-up brands which did not have a presence as yet. FKS was founded in 2010 in Qatar, when Flora, passionate kitesurfer settled down in Doha.
She has been a kitesurfer for 6 years, an instructor for 3. She decided to set up a school in Qatar to share her passion with people and went through IKO training to be able to improve her kiteboarding teaching skills and to offer more structured kitesurfing learning courses.
Since the start of the school, 1 year ago, Flora has dispensed more than 1000 hours of lessons to hundred of fulfilled students! She has developed her experience and has selected partners, sharing the spirit of kitesurfing in the best conditions.
FKS is in partnership with ad-kitesurfing in Abu Dhabi, which is providing kitesurfing equipment for sale, and also with Shamal Kitesurfing in Dubai for the accessories.
